Coriolis Flow Meter
Coriolis Flow Meter หรือ เครื่องวัดอัตราการไหลแบบคอริออลิส เป็นอุปกรณ์ที่ใช้วัดอัตราการไหลเชิงมวล (Mass Flow Rate) โดยอาศัยหลักการของแรงเฉื่อย (Inertia) และปรากฏการณ์คอริออลิส (Coriolis Effect)
ภายใน Coriolis Flow Meter จะมีท่อวัดที่ถูกกระตุ้นให้สั่นด้วยความถี่คงที่ เมื่อของเหลวหรือก๊าซไหลผ่านท่อดังกล่าว โมเมนตัมของการไหลเชิงมวลจะทำให้เกิดการเปลี่ยนแปลงของรูปแบบการสั่น ส่งผลให้ท่อเกิดการบิดตัวเล็กน้อย (Tube Twist) และเกิดความต่างเฟส (Phase Shift) ระหว่างด้านเข้าและด้านออกของท่อ
เซ็นเซอร์ภายในเครื่องจะตรวจจับค่าความต่างเฟสดังกล่าว และนำมาคำนวณเป็นค่าอัตราการไหลเชิงมวลได้อย่างแม่นยำ โดยไม่จำเป็นต้องอาศัยการชดเชยค่าความดันหรืออุณหภูมิจากภายนอก
